Metalock Malta Ltd is a new company (2016) formed from an initiative by historic ship repair company, GENNARO srl, active in Genoa since 1933.

In 2017 Metalock Malta Ltd acquired 100% of the capital of Metalock Italia, historically specialised in mechanical and metallocking activities and affiliated to Metalock International Association Ltd since 1953.
